The SMART Institute
The Sports Medicine and Athletic Related Trauma Institute is a volunteer organization, which Dr. Lawrence Lemak founded in January of 2008.
Comprised primarily of physicians throughout central Alabama, this group was created to provide a more complete continuum of care for our athletes.
From maxillofacial and plastic surgeons to podiatry, this group has all specialties needed for the care of the athlete.Also practicing in Lemak Sports Medicine is his son, Dr. David Lemak and former fellows, Dr. Robert Agee and Dr. Michael Patterson, as well as three fellows, who are in specialty training.
