Lemak Sports Medicine & Orthopedics is hosting its 1st Annual Medical Soccer Symposium on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa.

Guest speakers include Dr. Lawrence Lemak, Medical Director of Major League Soccer and founder of Lemak Sports Medicine & Orthopedics; Dr. Amanda Martin and Dr. Ann Lebeck of Lemak Sports Medicine; and Joe Cummings, CEO and Executive Director of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

The panel of experts will discuss modern day soccer, liability issues surrounding injuries, common injuries and utilizing training to help prevent future injuries and hands-on demonstrations of proper medical evaluation. Taylor Twellman, former U.S. Soccer player and current ESPN Analyst, will share his personal story on his chronic concussions.
